The European Union`s special representative for South Caucasus Peter Semneby has praised a gas agreement between Azerbaijan and Turkey, saying its was of particular importance for Azerbaijan.
Speaking to journalists in Baku, Semneby said the agreement opened good opportunities to attract European companies to Azerbaijan`s energy sector.
Semneby also said energy-related issues would be among priority topics during his discussions in the Azerbaijani capital.
