Main topics of the meeting between the Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Gharibashvili and European commissioner for climate changes and energy Miguel Aria Canete were development of energy sector of Georgia and cooperation with the EU in energy sector, reports GHN based on press service of the Prime Minister.
The parties also discussed perspectives of membership of European energy union. As the Prime Minister noted at the meeting with the European commissioner Georgia will do its best to complete negotiations effectively in this regard.
The European commissioner expressed his preparedness to be personally involved in negotiations in order to achieve a successful result.
At the meeting issues of energy security, perspectives of development of the south corridor and transit potential of Georgia were also discussed.
